Miss Quinn at the Chicago Theater...

Stephanie Quinn performs extensively and teaches both violin and piano. Her music education began in Chicago area with William Browning, piano and George Perlman, violin. Ms. Quinn received the Eastman School of Music Merit Scholarship, to study for a double major (violin and piano). Her violin professor was Charlie Castleman, and played for masters classes with: Itzhak Perlman and Arnold Steinhardt of the Guarneri Quartet, and pianist Malcolm Frager. Her practice coach was Malcolm Stewart. Later she focused professionally on violin, continuing study in New York City with Juilliard professor, Felix Galimir and recorded / performed with the Philharmonia Virtuoso of New York, in Carnegie Hall. After arriving back in Chicago, she studied with Gerardo Ribeiro. Today, she performs in the Chicago area with several orchestra and chamber music groups. Her teaching studio has produced music scholarship winners, recording artists, and nurtures amateur chamber groups, young and adult students. Stephanie composed Saqqara’s Story for orchestra and dance.
